Ditton Art Group
We formed some six years ago, and meet in the Village Hall every Wednesday morning and run an all day session from time to time when we engage a professional art tutor. Our work is mainly concerned with the visual arts – painting and drawing etc. We do sometimes venture forth to work outside when the weather permits, and arrange visits to galleries and exhibitions from time to time.
Over the years we have held a number of exhibitions of members work, both in the Village Hall and at other venues in the area which have been well received by visitors. We have a maximum membership of twenty presently, and a waiting list for potential members. Enquiries are always welcome from interested people, who are invited to come and see what we are about at any of our sessions.
In the past the now demised Bridgnorth DC supported us with special funding and encouraged the group in various other ways. Shropshire County Council have made clear that they will continue this support through their arts network service, and we are confident the the Group will continue to prosper as a lively Village Group.
