About Ditton Priors


Ditton Priors nestles at the foot of the Brown Clee Hill, which has Shropshire’s highest point, Abdon Burf (545m/1790ft) and is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

A picturesque village now popular with walkers, it boasts a lively community, with excellent local amenities including a convenience store, post office, butchers, public house, primary school and doctor’s surgery.

Ditton Priors is also steeped in history, from its anglo saxon roots to it’s mention in the Domesday book, its quarrying heritage and its role during WWII.
